I've been very busy with work, I forgot to tell you that I went to the Black Eyed Peas concert in Araneta. I'm not a fan but Direk Jon gave me lower box tickets so who am I to resist?! :) Good thing I went because the concert was fun and I had a good time dancing with my "date", lesbo workmate Janice. Below are the pics and videos (sorry though, my cam quality isn't good, the Black Eyed pics and videos are blurry!)

Cinemalaya 2006
It's Cinemalaya once again, peeps! Let's support the indies and go to CCP and watch! Michiko and I had a Cinemalaya film marathon the other day, then took our photos with our filmmaker-friends so we can promote their films on this blog.
WATCH Adolf Alix Jr's "Donsol"!
WATCH Arah Badayos' "Mudraks"!
WATCH Dado Lumibao's "In Da Red Corner"!
Not present that day but also have a film in competition is our friend and co-blogger Yam Tanangco. WATCH her short "Geegee At Walterina"!
To those who fear the indies, don't be scared! Here's some little-known trivia about these filmmakers that only you, my blog readers, will know.
* Adolf wrote D' Anothers and for Qpids.
* Arah wrote for the soaps Mangarap Ka and Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay.
* Dado wrote for the soaps Esperanza and Pangako Sa 'Yo.
* Yam also wrote for Qpids, was a story editor of Pinoy Big Brother and directed music videos of Slapshock and April Boy Regino.
See, they're not that snotty! It's just that with Cinemalaya, they finally had the freedom to write and direct the kind of films that they have always wanted to do. So let us SUPPORT!
Sked here.

Vacay!
I would have posted this entry earlier if not for the faulty electric lines in our apartment that caused us to have no electricity for about a week. Yes peeps, total blackout greeted me upon my return from my short break, which basically means no Internet as well. It was a downer but thank God for a very wonderful vacay, even that didn't dampen my spirit.
Started the break by passing by my high school city for a day. Met with my HS classmates and got to attend the meeting for our 10th year high school reunion. Yes peeps, I'm that old! Being the classmate who works for mass media, they asked for my creative inputs. I couldn't provide any. Truthfully, I'm not creative when it comes to brainstorming for a reunion dinner's theme, costume, gimmick and the likes. Hehe.
I treated my HS classmates to dinner in a German resto where they kept on teasing me about my lovelife. I did wonder why until one of them told me that I should be careful with what I write on this blog. O...kay! :) I just told them that I made up those love entries to make myself controversial. Now, they know I lied. Heh!
Spent the rest of the vacay in my hometown where I got to read 2 novels, The Nanny Diaries (funny and witty, can't wait for the Scarlett Johannsen movie!) and Atonement (classic piece of modern lit, made me cry damn it!) and got to watch 4 DVD's, Matchpoint (Jonathan Rhys-Meyer is IT!), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (Charlie Kauffman is IT!), Crash (Matt Dillon is IT) and the trilogy Eros (Wong Kar Wai's episode is IT!).
Two nights before I flew back to the metro, met with my elementary classmates for a drinking spree. Alavet! :)
Now I'm moving on... ;)

Breaking Free
I'm flying to my hometown later. I need to take this break before I start working on the 6-month project. I'm still feeling confused about my feelings towards the person who shall not be named. Hopefully, the short vacation will give me enough time to reflect and help me get focused on my life goals and priorities. While I definitely definitely dread the fact that I will have no social life for the next 6 months, it might also be what I need to forget that stupid feeling called love (or lust! LOL! :D)
Kung sinong mahal mo, siyang ayaw sa 'yo...what's the title of that song again? Ugh, I hate cheese. Somebody bring me back to my old self!

Sabado Gimmick
Seems like our vacation is going to be cut short. Unsurprisingly, the network decided to produce some pre-launch specials to compete directly with the local launch of a popular franchise shown in another channel. Phew! Good thing I had fine time with friends in our Malate gimmick last Saturday before work started again. Below are some pics.
